The greatest and most important problems of life are fundamentally insoluble. They cannot be solved, but only outgrown” -C. G. Jung

I hold the belief that all people are on a journey of self-exploration and self-transformation as they navigate the experience of being human. I think that every person, innately, is an explorer, a researcher, an artist, a philosopher, and a psychologist. There are countless things that can happen in life to disrupt the process of becoming that is every person’s birthright. Rather than make assumptions about this material, I would rather meet you where you are and understand what these may be, specifically, for you. I have found that every individual exists within a unique, complex and entangled context, informed by messages, pressures and challenges that stem from a wide variety of sources.

As a professional counselor associate I bring rigorous academic training, a lived experience of my own potent self-transformation work, and an unquenchable curiosity to my practice. My curiosity has led me to explore the works of our greatest psychologists, counselors, philosophers, and spiritual leaders in great depth in an attempt to understand as much as I can about the human condition, and about the many pathways that exist to return us to wholeness and fullness when we find ourselves caught in patterns of unwanted behaviors or struggling with internal states. As a result of my explorations, I am Jungian-informed, Internal Family Systems-informed, trained in EMDR, and steeped within Humanistic Counseling approaches. I incorporate symbolic and inner-child work into my therapy sessions because I feel there to be tremendous value in making internal relationships consciously active.

In that I believe inclusivity and belonging are natural antidotes for the common challenges of our modern world, all are welcome to my practice. You will be met with the warmth and respect and spiritual dignity that all people are deserving of.

Aaron works with adolescents and adults of all ages. He is a Professional Counselor Associate, holds an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and is trained in EMDR Therapy.P
